THE VERI ORIGIN STORY

Hi, I'm Colin. I just quit my day job to build Veri with my two best friends, Eric and Jack.

I first fell in love with movies in high school, catching Rebels of the Neon God and Jodorowsky's Dune at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco. That love only deepened during my time in New York, going to theaters like Metrograph, Film Forum, and IFC.

One night, a friend was telling me why I needed to watch 2046. I'd seen In the Mood for Love, but somehow this one had slipped past me. I always came away from our conversations with something new to watch.

What stuck with me was getting a recommendation from someone who knew me, and hearing why they thought I'd love it.

I wanted more of that. I love movies, but I still spend plenty of nights scrolling through my watchlist, unable to pick one.

So we're building Veri. You can tell it what you've been watching, what you loved, what didn't work for you, or just what you're in the mood for. It gets to know your taste and helps you find something to watch.

I hope it helps you find a few movies you wouldn't have found otherwise. And if one becomes a favorite, I'd love to hear about it.
