Terms of Service

Thank you for using Veri (the "App"), which is operated by Muse Computing, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our").

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App, our website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.


1. Who We Are

We are Muse Computing, Inc., the company that develops and operates Veri, an AI-powered chatbot application.

2. Eligibility and Access

Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to use the Services.

If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Account Responsibility

If you create an account:

  • You must provide accurate and complete information.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You may not share your account credentials with others.

3. Using the Services

You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activities
  • Generate or distribute content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful
  • Exploit, harm, or attempt to exploit or harm minors
  • Generate content that meaningfully facilitates violent wrongdoing, self-harm, or illegal activity
  • Attempt to bypass safety features or content safeguards
  • Upload or submit malware, spyware, or other harmful code
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent the origin of content
  • Use the Services to scrape, extract, or collect data or Output at scale, including for the purpose of training or building competing models or services
  • Use the Services in violation of applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination, for violations of this policy.

5. Content

Your Content

When you use the Services, you may provide text or other input ("Input") and receive AI-generated responses ("Output").

Together, Input and Output are referred to as "Content."

You are responsible for your Content and for ensuring that it complies with applicable laws and these Terms.

You agree not to submit sensitive personal information through the Services.

License to Us

You grant Muse Computing, Inc. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, process, transmit, analyze, reproduce, and display your Content solely for the purposes of:

  • providing and operating the Services,
  • maintaining safety and security,
  • complying with legal obligations, and
  • improving the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy.

This license continues for as long as your Content is stored by us.

Ownership

As between you and us:

  • You retain ownership of your Input
  • You own the Output generated for you, to the extent permitted by law

We do not guarantee that Output is original or non-infringing, and we make no representations regarding third-party intellectual property rights in Output.

Similarity of Output

Because the Services use artificial intelligence, Output may not be unique, and similar responses may be generated for other users.

6. Accuracy, Limitations, and Use of AI Output

The Services use artificial intelligence and may produce responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or outdated.

By using the Services, you understand and agree that:

  • Output may contain factual errors or hallucinations
  • Output should not be relied upon as a sole source of truth
  • Output is provided for general informational purposes only
  • Output is not professional advice, including legal, medical, financial, or mental health advice
  • You should not use the Services for emergency situations or urgent decision-making
  • You are solely responsible for how you use any Output
  • You may not represent AI-generated Output as human-generated where disclosure is required by law, regulation, or platform rules

7. Our Intellectual Property

We own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including software, design, and underlying technology, except for Content owned by users.

You may not use our company name, the Veri name, or associated branding or logos without our prior written permission.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe that:

  • You have violated these Terms
  • Your use poses a risk to us, other users, or the public
  • We are required to do so by law

Sections relating to intellectual property, licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law survive termination.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES
  • OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED $100 USD

11. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Except for small claims court cases and disputes relating to intellectual property, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the Federal Arbitration Act and administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Consumer Arbitration Rules.

Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only. You and Muse Computing, Inc. waive any right to bring or participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding.

Unless otherwise agreed, arbitration will take place in California, and the arbitrator will have exclusive authority to resolve disputes regarding the interpretation, applicability, or enforceability of this arbitration agreement.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by sending an email to colin@musecomputers.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and sufficient information to identify your account.

12. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
